Wasteland

Marc Jentzsch Classical musical education meets a love of metal in Yeti's debut EP. A talented and powerful rhythm section pairs to three screaming, grinding guitars. Here is a band who can pivot on a dime to effortlessly turn black metal to thrashing speed and make it all feel as much like party music as the violent dirge it's whispering into your shriveled, empty heart at 120 dB.
Enjoy! Favorite track: Warpath.

Zhakathoom This album from Yeti is a solid, fresh and fun beast that no doubt will leave well defined, heavy footprint across the impressionable humous of the underground music scene for years to come. But going by the number of supporters on it’s BC page it seems this Yeti, much like it’s fabled namesake, is an elusive entity. If you can’t stomach the yeti growls this isn’t for you, but if you like me enjoy such vocals there is a lot to be enjoyed about this release! :) Favorite track: Wasteland.

Warpath 06:05
War Today we march to war Today we see if we are worthy to march through, His door/ Thor! Grant us a storm Fight by our side, Lead us in our ranks. Crush, kill, collide! Odin! Guide me like your spear! Guide me on the Warpath, I have no fear! Allfather! Bless my family tree Let is grow forth for eternity. Now It's time to down our bitter swill Our Battle cries, Will make their hearts go still. Brothers! It's time to don our hides Charge forth with the tide The Gods are on our side! Odin! Guide us like Gungnir Guide us on your warpath The time draws near. Berserkers! We strike firm and true! And if you should fall this day, Valkyries guide your way!

Tarran: My body Is broken burned and dry and life has become all but a lie living in this carcass I'll die alone! Give me a body that I can call home I've had enough time But this isn't the end of the line There are billions of people alive and one has a body just like mine Humanity now combines my flesh and time to make immortality mine Now doctor Proceed take your knife make me bleed! Jason: Born into this world again Understanding I'm my only friend. I've cheated death and I've bought more time but I must leave everything behind.

Fallen Mad 04:32
From the first day that I saw you I knew you had to be mine Years passed by where we lived an shared a love supremely divine but life grew dark and dim that day you were stricken ill at the bay ripped from my life you were stolen from me by the reaper in all his greed. Freyja I long for you You are my sun, my moon, and stars separation from you is pain Freyja for you for you I've fallen mad. The funeral was brief but my lonely heart grew sick and heavy with grief Quickly I fell into depressions grave a tired and heartbroken slave. Freyja I long for you You are my sun, my moon, and stars separation from you is pain Freyja for you for you I've fallen mad. (Key change) Freyja! I come to you! This loneliness is too much to bear With love in my heart, and hemlock in hand Freja for you For you, I've fallen mad.

The first ever release from Salt Lake City, Utah locals Yeti, Wasteland captures their keen ear for creativity and brutality in a way not many others can. With a sound all their own, Yeti creates sonic devastation hailing back to the roots of heavy metal, but keeping a foot in the door of newer ideas.
